Ayton has been a student at TJA for the past 2 to 3 years. Like a lot of kids his age, he enjoys eating pizza, playing video games, TJA's unique shekel program and recess. His advise to others who want to achieve greatness is to "not be lazy and do your homework".

Only 4 months ago Sarah transferred from a public school and already she has been finding amazing success at TJA. On her free times she enjoys reading and playing video games. Her secrete to achieving the 5% Club has been to studying 30 min to 1 hr per day and she believes the 5% Club will help Sarah fulfill her goals of studying at Harvard University.

This being Jason's only 2nd year at TJA after transferring from David Posnack Jewish Academy it seems that he not only found a great academic home but is being able to surpass 95% of the I-Ready national average in Reading. On his free time, when he is not collecting Shekels from TJA's innovative Shekel incentive program Jason enjoys playing video games and spending time with Family. Jason's advise to whomever wants to also form part of TJA's 5% Club is to work and do your best.

Like Sarah, Aaron and Jason, Ella in a very short amount of time has not only been able to stand out on a National level but set a very clear path to academic success. Ella states that due to TJA's motivation and hard work studying 30-45 min a day she was able to reach this incredible accomplishment. Ella's advise to any child also wanting to outperform in I-Ready and reach the 5% Club is to never give up regardless of how hard things may seem.

Being Jonathans 3rd going on 4th year here at TJA after transferring from Renaissance Charter School in Cooper City it seems he has been doing very well in positioning himself for amazing academic success. After transferring from another Jewish School in New York, it became evident TJA's teachers passion and commitment for excellence was not only a determining factor in helped him achieve TJA's prestigious 5% Club but his academic standing so far. He further feels that this achievement can be his ticket into a good high school and/or college in his future and he advises anyone to always work hard in order to achieve success like this.

Like other within the 5% Club Sarina recently transferred into The Jewish Academy and regardless of her short time at TJA Sarina not only found massive success right out the gate but brings with her an immense amount of success habits like a hard work ethic. After transferring from a public school it seems the things that stood out most to him was the quality teachers and peers at TJA. On his free time he enjoys "hanging out with friends" and playing out door sports. Concerning his study habits, it seems that he is very much in tune with understanding that he is a visual learner stating that he utilizes technology like youtube and other video learning formats in order to excel in his academics. His advise for anyone wanting to form part of the 5% Club is to learn as possible about your subjects.

Like most kids his age Aaron likes to spend his time playing video games and being with friends. Some of the things that Aaron appreciates from TJA is the teachers dedication and seriousness in preparing its students for the next steps in their academic journey. After recently transferring from another school, Aaron feels that the TJA helped Aaron meet the 5% Club requirements by teaching more advanced subjects than other schools. Finally he would like to thank his parents and teachers for mentoring him in order for him to form part of this massive accomplishment

Moshe Hecht

Position: School Principal

Born and and raised in Hollywood, Florida, Moshe received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Florida in History & Political Science and Master's in Education from both Harvard University (in Education Policy & Management) and the University of Miami (in Curriculum Design). Moshe has excelled as a teacher at the elementary school, middle school, and college level. During his time in Teach For America, Moshe was nominated for a Transformation Change Award for his excellence in the classroom. Moshe's Jewish education includes two years at Machon Yaakov/David Robinson Institute for Jewish Heritage in Jerusalem.

Position: Administrator/Director of Admissions

Louise Uzan earned her degree in Early Childhood & Elementary Education and taught for twenty-five years including schools in New York, Miami Beach, North Miami Beach, Hollywood and Israel.  She realized that her calling was to help others and contribute to Tikkun Olam. Mrs. Uzan was the Administrator of the Israeli Aliyah Center, Office Manager of a private foster care agency and the Oral History Coordinator at the Holocaust Documentation & Education Center before joining The Jewish Academy as the School Administrator.
